FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
How often should I take this?
For daily immune support, you can take 2-4 capsules per day. If you are in need of optimal support or if you are fighting off a bug, you can take 4 capsules 2-3 times per day for optimal support. It’s best to take right at the beginning of symptoms even when you’re not quite sure if something is bugging you or not so that you shut it down. It’s also fine to use with allergy symptoms so if you’re not sure if it’s allergies or a bug, this is still good to use at beginning of symptoms to ensure that it shuts down any questionable symptoms or bugs.
Should I take this with food?
You should take this with food or at least not on empty stomach so if you ate an hour ago, it should be fine. But if you haven’t eaten for 3-4 hours, you might want to take it with food. It’s strong herbs to help you support your immune goals so taking it with food is preferred.
Can I take it with my prescription or over the counter medications at the same time?
It’s better if you follow this general rule with supplements and medications, you should always try to take supplements at least 2 hours apart from your medications to ensure that both your medications and your supplements are both able to help you most optimally.
What are the most common possible side effects to watch out for?
Because these are strong herbs to help support your health goals, if you take it on empty stomach and haven’t eaten for a while, you might feel slightly nauseous or slight stomach upset. Vomiting is very rare. Pain typically never occurs, that’s not usual. Another common situation is that it may loosen stools slightly so if you are prone to diarrhea, make sure not to take these with magnesium as well since magnesium also can cause loose stools. If you have constipation and are on laxatives, this might help with the constipation so you might want to adjust your laxative dosage accordingly based on your stool quality and symptoms. Usually if you take these in divided dosage so that it’s 2-4 capsules 2-3 times per day instead of full dosage all at once, that should help to prevent these issues.
Who shouldn’t take this supplement?
For those people on blood-thinning medications or if someone has active cancer undergoing active therapy or pregnant women or women who are nursing or children under 18 years of age, you need to clear this supplement with your doctor before using since this product was not intended for use by these populations of people without medical guidance.
When do the supplements expire?
Expiration date should be on bottle.
If seal on bottle is broken, can I still take it?
If seal on bottle is broken, do not take the supplement and contact us to get you replacement.
Do I still take this if I’m on viral medication or antibiotic therapy for infections?
If you have an actual infection, contact your doctor for treatment. If your doctor puts you on treatment medication, you can still take these but clear with your doctor and take it 2-3 hours apart from your medications. If you are doing well, you can lower dosage to 2-4 capsules per day to help maintain support of immune health. If you need more help with immune support, then can use 4 capsules 2-3 times per day if your doctor is fine with that while you are on the medication he/she gave you.
Can I take only this and not see my doctor if I think I have an infection?
If you have an infection or you think you do, you still need to see your doctor for evaluation. This does not replace actual medical care from a doctor. This is meant to help support your immune goals daily as well as added support if you are in need of it. Ultimately, our goal is to help you stay well enough to avoid those visits but if you do have infection symptoms, then a doctor’s visit is still something you need to pursue.
What do I do if I have a reaction that I’m not sure it’s coming from this product or not?
If you are new to the product and you are not sure if you’re having a reaction to the product, stop taking the product and see if that reaction is gone or better. If it is, stay off until you talk to your doctor. If it is not better, then you should see your doctor about the symptom since it may not be related. If it’s not related, then you may go back to taking this product once you’re feeling back at baseline again.
What does Prop 65 label on my product mean?
Prop 65 label on products are only for products shipping to California.
FDA’s regulation of compounds that are frequently found in herbal supplements are already strict in order to keep levels safe in products. But in California, the requirements are even more strict than that and require much lower dosages, even lower than FDA and if a product has more than that but is under the FDA dosage recommendation, those products still are required to have the Prop 65 label on the products.
Prop 65 stands for Proposition 65 and that was a law passed by California to notify when ingredients might contain slightly higher levels of certain compounds that may occur in herbal ingredients. All products in the USA have to be under a safety level that is determined by FDA to be safe if it’s under that level, but California is the only state that requires an even lower level than FDA and it requires a label on products that may have levels above California’s requirement.
Most herbal products of any kind at the therapeutic dosages have some traces of these compounds so most herbal products shipping into California will have the Prop 65 label on the product bottle. Products with the Prop 65 label still are safe under the FDA safety recommended levels of these compounds; this is required to be manufactured in USA with good manufacturing practices guideline. Prop 65 products are still in the safe range according to the FDA safety recommended levels.
